Note that itch.io is one of very few fully DRM-free platforms so if you buy game here - you buy it. Not rent it.

Please link it a bit more statically with a bit softer glibc requirements… XD wine works tho, so at least there’s that
I typically skip RPG maker games but only if they use generic, stock assets in main game map, it’s like absolute zero effort thing to do XD I mean I know it already takes some work to make custom characters assets etc so many devs just ignore world thing and treat it like some placeholder between encounters, but like come on. It doesn’t even have to be pretty, just make it your world, not some predefined assets bundle.
I don’t like games that try to waste player time by creating hollow content that didn’t require a lot of effort from dev to create in the first place. That’s ngl why I mostly skip VN’s since they require a lot of playtime comparing to effort required to provide this playtime. To me value of game comes from effort author had to put into it, to make it happen. Otherwise I can waste my time in many other more valuable ways…
This one is legit, even if a bit short sometimes it’s better to provide less content but make it more handcrafted.
When I noticed it has latency correction settings I was like ooooh, finally rhythm game that I’ll be able to play on my full audio path… But no, it didn’t really work. I’m not entirely sure how it works and what it does but my audio path adds around 200 ms latency and I totally couldn’t get this correction thing to work. It’d probably be easier if it said exact time delay and probably longer strokes (slower tempo) would make it easier to adjust.
While I personally find it okay to just rely on wine and mark your build as Linux/Windows combo, if you do that please keep in mind that Unity+wine while works, it usually happens to have issues with some fonts. I found two buttons in game as of now that seem to have missing text on them on Linux. Other fonts seem to work fine.
I’m continuously supporting this project since 2020 and so far I haven’t seen single build that was even remotely not-complete-clusterfuck. So honestly I wouldn’t really worry what’s planned 2035 destination for this game… I could probably count on fingers builds that didn’t have absolutely catastrophic failures like player soft locking, scenes not working, AI not working, controls randomly not working after scenes etc etc… It’s wild ride roller coaster XD
I mean I actually find it kind of impressive how many thing can go so wrong with build yet still it gets shipped.
Also screen is really narrow and cues are quite fast. Framerate seems to be limited and my monitor is smudging enough to make cues completely illegible. Because game is really difficult but actually it’s pure RNG, playing it feels more like waiting for easy sequence that it’s actually beatable rather than getting better at mechanics and actually progressing with skill. Also fact that final unlocked animation is covered and obstructed by ending screen menu deeply saddens me… Still good overall.
I’m having problems with wall jumping not working (at least for jade), double jump sometimes doesn’t work (second bump doesn’t make you jump any higher), sometimes player freezes after attack, sometimes player is no longer able to attack (only walk and jump). Problems are so frequent it’s somewhat difficult to beat even one level without having to restart due to bugs :c
I did it on first night already or second night I believe xD I don’t think there’s a limit to that and I don’t think it depends on night. It’s probably just that people don’t switch cams as often on lower levels but I was actually switching them like crazy bc I didn’t really know how to play FNAF so I thought I have to look at all cams all the time lol. If you just jump constantly between cameras you’ll 100% get golden freddy poster after few minutes. I initially noticed it because I was hunting all various posters and easter eggs so I was switching between cameras like crazy and at some point when I noticed golden freddy it reminded me that yeah there was something to it in original game wasn’t it? xD
I really like implementation of golden freddy in this game it’s imho on spot.
The truth is 4/20 is not much more difficult than off/off/off/20 xD Because Foxy is so buff that it takes 90% of difficulty anyways. I was finishing Foxy-only runs with 1-5% power left tops (but typically just last foxy raid drained my power to 0 and survived only because ending sequence took so long that I was getting 6AM before Freddy finished her shenanigans) and tbh got exactly the same result with 4/20. You just gotta ignore Chicka and Bonnie and block Freddy precisely on time using stopwatch during gameplay (she appears precisely at 7:42 so close the door 7:38 and reopen after hearing laugh) and that’s it. I was ignoring Bonnie and Chicka probably more than would seem reasonable - I didn’t even check if they’re gone just YOLO reopened doors after 3 seconds. Used light when opening only occasionaly jus to check if maybe I shouldn’t but near the end of run when I was low on power I didn’t do even that just hoped they’re gone.
Just don’t assume you’re gonna survive with power left because you won’t. Realistically your task is to survive up to around 7:50 in the run (which is 8:35 long) because typically freddy ending sequence should take 30-40 sec and that should get you to the 6AM. I got 6AM literally split of second after Freddy already said “rawr”.
I’m on WINE 6.0. Didn’t have to install any additional components like c++ runtimes, .NETs and other bs. Weird I thought Linux and OS X WINE should work more or less the same :C
Now when I look at installed packages it seems I have wine-mono installed. And it’d make sense since game is in C# which would require Mono framework to run. So I’d try installing Mono on your OS X. Maybe it’ll run then.
I know I already commented on this but just to provide more context like I said this game does in fact run on any Linux with WINE (Windows runtime emulation) installed and does that quite well (I didn’t notice any performance issues like some games experience):
It didn’t require installing any special components, works just with plain simple WINE emulator and nothing else.
Also do you have any NDA policy regarding publishing gameplay footage? Especially 4/20 runs etc.
For first levels it’s easy to figure out on your own. If you need tips for latter levels which are pretty difficult - this comments section has a lot of hints and explanations, especially regarding Freddy and Foxy which are the most PITA for most players and more difficult to figure out on your own. Just scroll down and read through comments here about Freddy and Foxy
look at her a lot in longer shots (eg. 3 seconds at her, 4 seconds off camera and repeat) It’s possible to decrease number of her visits to 3 (if you’re lucky even 2). Note that while it doesn’t seem to be gain considering how much power you waste on camera - it actually is because amount of power foxy drains increases with every visit so basically 4th/5th visit implies lost run
look at her in long shots. All the tine. And repeat nights. It’s RNG based, sometimes she’s more tame. I was playing with stopwatch - 3-4 seconds on her, 4-5 seconds off or even less off. ~8-9 sec cycle just like someone below advised. She’s your main concern, camera only on booty cove, never elsewhere. I YOLO’d Bonnie and chicka up to point I didn’t even verify if they left - just closed doors, 3 seconds, open and hope they’re not here. Sometimes flashed light after opening just to be sure - but rarely - if they’re more than 6s near door it’s lost run anyways. 7:38 close Freddy’s doors and pray you’ll have enough energy to drag it long enough for 6am to pop before Freddy finishes her jingle and animation. I ran out of power a bit after 7:40 but miraculously Freddy dragged her shenanigans until 8:35 and 6am popped split second before game over, already after she said ‘rawr’, I thought I’m toast, but made it.
